For my birthday this year I asked the homestead kiddos to help me fix the fence around the garden and build raised beds! They did amazing and made this momma's heart so happy. We love them so much we are adding more. I find them easy to care for and protect from chickens and geese.
Right now we have rows of onions, radishes, beans, tomatoes, peppers, herbs and greens growing. We're waiting for okra, cucumbers, and lemon cucumbers. We are turning three into strawberry beds and transplanting our asparagus to those beds. We still have a lot of work to do but it's coming along nicely.
